The maximum output power is 100 W. The need to handle both high output power and wide input voltage leads to the design of a flyback topology. The flyback converter is a popular choice in applications where the required power is normally less than 200 W. The main reasons for its popularity are its simplicity, low cost and high efficiency despite a small number of active components.
