TC74VHC164F/FN/FT/FK TOSHIBA CMOS Digital Integrated Circuit Silicon Monolithic TC74VHC164F,TC74VHC164FN,TC74VHC164FT,TC74VHC164FK 8-Bit Shift Register (S-IN, P-OUT) Note: The TC74VHC164 is an advanced high speed CMOS 8-BIT SERIAL-IN PARALLEL-OUT SHIFT REGISTER fabricated with silicon gate C2MOS technology. It achieves the high speed operation similar to equivalent Bipolar Schottky TTL while maintaining the CMOS low power dissipation. It consists of a serial-in, parallel-out 8-bit shift register with a CLOCK input and an overriding CLEAR input. Two serial data inputs (A, B) are provided so that one may be used as a data enable. An input protection circuit ensures that 0 to 5.5 V can be applied to the input pins without regard to the supply voltage. This device can be used to interface 5 to 3 V systems and two supply systems such as battery back up. This circuit prevents device destruction due to mismatched supply and input voltages. xxxFN (JEDEC SOP) is not available in Japan.
