Chevrolet Monte Carlo instructions:
STEP #1
Locate a black panel below the steering wheel column/knee panel, above the gas and brake pedals. Drop this panel down
by pressing (2) tabs to release. This will expose (2) screws that hold the knee panel. Let panel hang and remove the (2)
screws that hold the knee panel. Set screws aside. With hands pull the knee panel to release the spring clips. Let knee panel
hang. Remove a screw from the left side of the steering wheel column. This screw holds the instrument cluster bezel. Set
screw aside.
STEP #2
There is a fuse panel on the driver's side dashboard. The driver door must be open to remove the fuse panel cover. To
remove this cover, pull straight out with the hook tool to release (4) clips. Set cover aside. Remove (1) screw from the upper
right side of the fuse panel cavity, this screw holds the bezel that surrounds the instrument cluster and radio/climate control
as one piece. Apply the emergency brake, turn ignition on, but DO NOT start the car, shift to 1st gear, and tilt the steering
wheel all the way down.
STEP #3
Open glove box and remove screw that holds the bezel we are removing. This screw is located approximately where the
glove box doorstop hits the dash on the upper left of the glove box cavity. To release the bezel start from the right side of
the bezel pulling from the left and right side of the radio area at its lowest point. With your hands carefully start pulling to
release all clips. Continue working toward the driver's side until the entire bezel has been released. To assist with getting
the bezel around the instrument cover off, put hook tool between bezel and dash on the right side and slide the hook tool
to the left to release the top clips. Once all clips have been released pull the bezel out of the instrument cluster area.
Disconnect the wires for the emergency flasher, and set bezel aside.
STEP #4
With a 9/32" socket driver. Remove the screw located on the right side of the radio. Attach part stamped with (3A) to the
dash by placing the InDash Mount over the screw hole and guide pin. The second bend of the InDash will rest on the face
of the radio. Tighten the screw and replace the bezel in reverse order. Install part B (with PanaVise logo and part number
on it) by inserting the studs into the holes on part (3A) and installing the (2) cap nuts onto the studs with the 5/16" socket
driver.
