New Insulation Displacement and Crimping Ideas IDC Contact (24, 26, 28AWG) Crimping Contact (20 to 30AWG) DF1B is a new type of connector in which the IDC contact is inserted into the case. This method enables the following merits: ① By using the IDC contact and crimping contact together, different current capacity cables can be mixed in one case. ② After connection, the contact can be replaced for excellent maintenance. ③ The case protects the insulation displacement area for high reliability. ④ Since the insulation displacement process can be performed only by replacing the applicator of the existing crimping machine, no expensive machinery for insulation displacement is required. Cables with different current capacities can be mixed in one case. 2. Wide Variety Each of the " wire- to- board" and " in- line" types has single and double row variations, and both tin and gold plating are available as standard.
