Temperature Use Range
Up to 170°F (77°C)
•
Excellent resistance to most chemicals used in electroplating/anodizing
operations.
• Prolonged exposure of tape to elevated bath temperatures, including
hot caustics, above 170°F (77°C) may cause weakening of the adhesive
bond.
• Resists most common solvents, care should be taken to avoid ketones,
chlorinated hydrocarbons, and esters, found in many lacquer thinners,
degreasers, paint strippers, etc. which may cause the tape backing to
swell or curl.
• Tape can be used at oven temperatures up to 220°F (104°C) for 30
minutes with clean removal.
• Linered version allows pieces to be custom cut to fit unique shapes. The
liner also allows easy handling of 484 tape for large surface applications.
• Can be certified to US Government Commercial Item Description
Standard A-A 1689B, Type 1, Class 1.
