Microsemi Corporation June 30, 2014 PDN 149700: Product Discontinuance Notice - Pb-containing BGA devices built in ASE-Malaysia Description: Microsemi is announcing the discontinuance of the Pb-containing BGA products listed in Appendix A, which are built in ASE-Malaysia. Reason for Discontinuance: The decision to discontinue these products is being driven by rapidly decreasing Pbcontaining BGA product orders, and ultimately by the expiration of the RoHS Pb exemptions which end in July of 2016. Customer Impact: These devices are being removed from Microsemi’s product offering and will no longer be available for order after March 31, 2015. The silicon die of the replacement parts are identical to those in the Pb-containing packaged parts, and there is no difference in function. Orders for these products will be non-cancelable and non-returnable. Replacement Parts: Refer to Appendix A for a table with the parts affected and replacement parts: Last Order Date: March 31, 2015 A last time order is in effect until March 31, 2015. Please note that all orders must be booked as non-cancelable non-returnable (NCNR) by no later than March 31, 2015. No new orders will be accepted after this date. Although Microsemi will attempt to accommodate all requirements, it is highly recommended that orders be placed as far as possible in advance of the order deadline.
