Product Obsolescence Notification

Avago Technologies announces the obsolescence of the following Fiber Optic products.
With the overall declining demand in the market for the SNAP12 parallel optics product families; these
part numbers have approached the end of their product life cycle. As a result, Avago Technologies
can no longer maintain the dedicated production line and is announcing the obsolescence for these
products. The Avago SNAP12 and POP 4 product families have been supported by Avago for over
12 years.
There are no direct drop-in replacements to these products. However there are alternative products
available from Avago that require some modifications on Sycamore’s host board. Please contact
your Avago Account Manager for information regarding the alternative solutions and the design
changes.
This notification is effective January 2, 2014. The key milestones are:
1. Final customer order date by July 2, 2014 - allowing 6 months for Life Time Buy.
2. Final ship date to customer by January 2, 2015- allowing 6 months for last time ship.
Please note that orders will be accepted on a non- cancelable, non-returnable basis only.
Avago Technologies reserves the right to limit last time buy quantities based on capacity and material
availability.
