The FWLF-1631 is designed expressly for service providers deploying DWDM networking equipment in metropolitan access and core networks2. The transceiver is RoHS compliant and lead free per Directive 2002/95/EC3, and Finisar Application Note AN-20384. Basic digital diagnostic features for the FWLF-1631 are implemented as described in Finisar Application Note AN-2030, “Digital Diagnostic Monitoring Interface for Optical Transceivers”5.
