Honeywell Precision Sensors 12001 State Highway 55 Plymouth, MN 55441 August 3, 2016 Dear Valued Honeywell Customer: Honeywell is formally announcing the discontinuance of part number, HMR3601, µPoint® Gyro-Stablized Digital Compass Solution, including part numbers:   HMR3601 HMR3601 Demo Effective immediately, the HMR3601 will no longer be offered for sale. The HMR3601 compass has been on stop order and stop ship since March 2015. Honeywell has discovered material set incompatibilities in this product that we believe preclude it from meeting the rigorous quality standards to which we hold ourselves. Honeywell has decided to remove this compass from the product line without offering a last time buy. Honeywell offers a full range of compass solutions. Other compass solutions to consider include: HMC6343, 3-axis tilt compensated electronic compass and a ±80° tilt range. Heading accuracy is 2°. HMR3000, 3-axis tilt compensated electronic compass and a ±40° tilt range. Heading accuracy is 0.5°. HMR3300, 3-axis tilt compensated electronic compass and a ±60° tilt range. Heading accuracy is 1°. HMR3500, 3-axis tilt compensated electronic compass and a ±80° tilt range.
