DDR 2 240 Position DIMM Socket 01/04 DESCRIPTION 1654216 240 position, dual row, card edge style socket with solder tail contacts on 1mm spacing. This DIMM (Dual In-line Memory Module) socket is for the next generation DDR 2 (Double Data Rate) SDRAM (Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory) main memory technology for Mobile, Desktop, Server and Communication Equipment. This main memory technology will replace the current DDR SDRAM that uses the 184 position socket. KEY FEATURES • Dual row, 1mm contact spacing. • Same reliable anti-stubbing contact design as the current 184 position DDR socket. • Standard plastic latches and extractors insure proper • module retention and extraction. High temperature thermoplastic housing material. • Offered in three solder tail lengths and three contact gold plating thicknesses. • Available with metal PCB boardlocks or plastic locating posts for proper socket to PCB alignment.
