STANDARD POWER TIMER HOUSINGS WITH TPA AND MATING HEADERS Inline Connectors Meet RAST 5 Standard Compression Crimp Connection Technology TE Connectivity (TE) introduces new housings with integral terminal position assurance (TPA) devices for crimp type, standard power timer contacts, along with mating headers meeting the RAST 5 standard. Both housings and headers meet the Glow Wire test (750°C, no flame) as well as UL 94 V-0 flammability requirements. The new connectors are offered in 3, 5 and 7 position models with vacant spaces between positions to provide 2, 3 or 4 contacts for power connections. The housings' integral covers incorporate TPA devices to help ensure contacts are fully seated, and the housings also have external locking latches to help prevent unintended disconnection. The housings utilize 16A rated crimp, standard power timer contacts that accommodate 1.0 - 2.5mm2 wire with insulation from 2.0 - 3.3mm diameter. Standard Alternate (Extended Width) After the Standard Power Timer Terminals are inserted and lock in place, an operator can close the cover and the edge of the ribs comes in contact with the terminal box to lock it in place.
