HS Dock Removal Tool Kit Vertical High Speed Dock Extractor Kit (144 Circuit) Instruction Sheet Part No. 62202-0250 Operation The following Instructions are used for removing Vertical High Speed Docking Connector Assembly (Series 75140) to a PCB. 1. Open the extraction tool by holding it closed with one hand and with the other hand spin the thumbscrew counter-clockwise until it bottoms on the cap nut, (See Figure 1). Position the extraction tool over the connector ensuring that the ends of the connector are in line with the ends of the extraction tool, (See Figure 2). Press down on the extraction tool so it passes over the ends of the connector. Once it slides past the connector, press the retractable finger inward with your thumb and index fingers (lower left figure) to ensure engagement with the bottom of the housing. Then fully seat the extraction tool to the PCB, (See Figure 3). Figure 3 4. Rotate the thumbscrew clockwise until an audio “click” is heard, this indicates that the connector has been pulled from the PCB. Figure 4 5. Rotate the thumbscrew counter clockwise to remove the connector from the extraction tool. Note: Be sure to close the extraction tool by rotating the thumbscrew clockwise (as shown in step 4), when it is not being used to protect the retractable fingers from breaking if the tool was to be dropped. 6.
