Step-Up Transformer Step-Up Transformer For TM-3000 and TM-4000 Presses Application Tooling Specification Sheet Order No. 62500-2992 FEATURES Allows 240V presses to be operated on standard 115V power. Input is circuit-breaker protected. 50Hz or 60Hz operation (does not change line frequency) Input is a standard 3-wire grounded plug (NEMA5-15P) with a 5 ft. (1.5m) cord. Output is a standard 3-wire grounded receptacle (NEMA6-15R) that is compatible with the press cord. SCOPE The step-up transformer is intended for use with the 240V version of the Molex TM-3000 press and the TM-4000 press (order numbers 63801-7300 and 63801-7600). Do not use this transformer with the 120V TM-3000 (order number 63801-7200) or any other press. Installation 1. Place the transformer on a surface capable of supporting at least 20 lbs. (9 kg) and with adequate ventilation. WARNING: This transformer may become hot. Keep it away from combustible items and avoid touching it while in use. 2. Connect the output receptacle of the transformer to the US cord (NEMA6-15P plug) supplied with the press. 3. Connect the input plug of the transformer to a GROUNDED 115VAC receptacle. 4. Turn on the press power. 5. If the press does not power-up, reset the circuit breaker on the transformer and/or check the fuse in the press.
