WDM & Optical Transport Datasheet LambdaDriver®- 4 x 2Gbps Fibre Channel Muxponder Module (TM-FC2M4D) Features Remotely activating of Local or Remote Loopback per port SFP Digital Diagnostics monitoring Optical power monitoring of the DWDM trunk port 10 Gbps trunk port rate Tunable wavelength option of trunk DWDM laser Hot swappable 1 slot wide – can be used in all LD chassis Applications Data Storage Extension TM-FC2M4D Disaster Recovery Plant Overview The LambdaDriver TM-FC2M4D Muxponder uses advanced TDM technology to transport 4 separate 2 Gbps Fibre Channel data streams into a 10 Gbps DWDM trunk port over a single pair of fibers. This solution provides a significant cost reduction and excellent fiber utilization when compared to discrete optical multiplexing. The TM-FC2M4D incorporates 4 2Gbps Fibre Channel SFP based access interfaces that can accommodate various types of SFPs e.g. Multimode or Singlemode. The trunk port is a 10Gbps DWDM interface that can be ordered either as predefined wavelength or with tunable laser. Local and remote Loopback per port can be remotely activated via the management module to facilitate troubleshooting and network maintenance. �� Typical applications include : - Point-to-point (“gray” wavelength trunk) interconnection of up to 4 independent STM16 services - DWDM integrated - Using only one DWDM channel to pass 4 independent STM16 services between two sites over one or more WDM LD nodes.
