Therefore, it has a higher allowable ripple current under a higher temperature environment than conventional PP film capacitors. This feature is more prominent in the high-frequency range. For example, when the ambient temperature is at 105°C, the PP film capacitors would be already at its limit for allowable ripple current, but because of the higher heat resistance of the FH series, the allowable ripple current can be increased drastically. The metal terminals and leads relieve the stress from expansion and contraction of the solder, to suppress solder cracking.
