The PROFIBUS master simulator can exchange data with numerous PROFIBUS slaves even without device master file, type file, and PROFIBUS master data. Of course, the PROFIBUS-DP master simulator also enables the use of device master files to start data exchange with PROFIBUS slaves. It is also possible to address PROFIBUS slaves. The PROFIBUS master simulator also provides the option of searching a PROFIBUS line to detect all connected devices and of displaying the result in graphical form. Output data can be transmitted consistently. When using the keyboard, it is possible to keep the outputs set for as long as the mouse button is pressed. The interface converter is supplied with voltage by the PROFIBUS interface itself. This makes it ideal for mobile use in a laptop or notebook. The interface converter is simply connected between PROFIBUS and the RS-232 cable. The PROFIBUS master simulator is a testing device and a startup tool for PROFIBUS slaves and is therefore not suitable for controlling automation processes. The interface converter for connection between the RS-232 interface of the PC and PROFIBUS is supplied as standard with the PROFIBUS master simulator.
