Giblin, Product Manager, Circuit Protection Subject: Bel Fuse Series SMP (0678-xxxx-02) Bel will EOL the SMP fuse series in 2018. The Last Buy Date is June 30, 2018 with all orders to be completed and shipped by September 30, 2018. There is a fixed quantity of fuses that are available. Once this quantity is gone, which may be before June 30, we will no longer be able to take any orders. Additionally, there is no replacement series at this time. The contributing factors leading to this decision include: 1. Decreasing sales volumes over last few years. 2. The lead-free design has a peak IR solder temperature of 240°C and is not compatible with IR reflow soldering at 260°C.
