VLS-EX Series Consumer Grade Wire-Wound Power Inductors The TDK VLS-EX Series inductors are magnetically shielded, wire-wound inductors designed for power circuits. The exterior of the product is covered with a magnetic material to prevent leakage of magnetic flux generated inside the product, as well as to protect it from external effects. The ferrite magnetic material of the core exhibits higher permeability as compared to products with a metallic magnetic material core. This ferrite core results in a small eddy current loss and allows VLS-EX series power inductors to be used at relatively higher frequencies.
