Product Group: Diodes / October 5th, 2012 / PCN-DD-021-2012 Rev 0 Product Discontinuation DESCRIPTION OF CHANGE: Discontinuation of Part numbers CLASSIFICATION OF CHANGE: Product Obsolescence REASON FOR CHANGE: Due to the support is in risk in the market of 5” silicon material and 5” wafer processing equipments, Vishay has planned to convert the HPS Trench Gen 5 wafer process from 5” to 6”, however, the wafer fab is not able to process both 5” and 6” wafers simultaneously, therefore, Vishay Diodes will have to shut down and discontinue the HPS Trench Gen 5 products currently running with the 5” wafers. The required 5” wafer buffer stock has been prepared to support the running demand. By end of 2013, Vishay shall finish the 6” wafer + in-house back-end qualification for these materials to enable the continuous delivery support to customers demand.
