WM8734_06 数据手册
w Stereo Audio CODEC DESCRIPTION The WM8734 is a low power stereo CODEC ideal for MD, CD-RW machines and DAT recording applications. Stereo line inputs are provided, along with a mute function and programmable line level volume control. Stereo 24-bit multi-bit sigma delta ADCs and DACs are used with oversampling digital interpolation and decimation filters. Digital audio input word lengths from 16-32 bits and sampling rates from 8kHz to 96kHz are supported. Stereo audio line level outputs are provided along with antithump mute and power up/down circuitry. The device is controlled via a 2 or 3 wire serial interface. The interface provides access to all features including level controls, mutes, de-emphasis and power management facilities. The device is available in 20-lead SSOP or 28lead, 5x5mm QFN packages. • • • • • • WM8734 FEATURES • Audio Performance − 90dB SNR (‘A’ weighted @ 48kHz) ADC − 100dB SNR (‘A’ weighted @ 48kHz) DAC − 2.7 – 3.6V Digital Supply Operation − 2.7 – 3.6V Analogue Supply Operation ADC and DAC Sampling Frequency: 8kHz – 96kHz Selectable ADC High Pass Filter 2 or 3-Wire MPU Serial Control Interface Programmable Audio Data Interface Modes − − − I S, Left, Right Justified or DSP 16/20/24/32 bit Word Lengths Master or Slave Clocking Mode 2 Stereo Audio Inputs and Outputs 20-lead SSOP or 5x5mm QFN Package Options APPLICATIONS • • CD and Minidisc Recorder MP3 Player / Recorder BLOCK DIAGRAM CSB SDIN MODE SCLK AVDD CONTROL INTERFACE VMID AGND W WM8734 RLINEIN VOL ADC DAC MUTE ROUT +12 to -34.5dB, 1.5dB Steps DIGITAL FILTERS LLINEIN VOL ADC DAC MUTE LOUT +12 to -34.5dB, 1.5dB Steps CLKIN DIVIDER (Div x1, x2) DIGTAL AUDIO INTERFACE DBVDD MCLK DACDAT DACLRC W OLFSON MICROELECTRONICS plc To receive regular email updates, sign up at http://www.wolfsonmicro.com/enews/ ADCLRC ADCDAT Production Data, November 2006, Rev 4.1 Copyright 2006 Wolfson Microelectronics plc DCVDD DGND BCLK WM8734 Production Data TABLE OF CONTENTS DESCRIPTION .......................................................................................................1 FEATURES.............................................................................................................1 APPLICATIONS .....................................................................................................1 BLOCK DIAGRAM .................................................................................................1 PIN CONFIGURATION – SSOP.............................................................................3 ORDERING INFORMATION - Permanent damage to the device may be caused by continuously operating at or beyond these limits. Device functional operating limits and guaranteed performance specifications are given under Electrical Characteristics at the test conditions specified. ESD Sensitive Device. This device is manufactured on a CMOS process. It is therefore generically susceptible to damage from excessive static voltages. Proper ESD precautions must be taken during handling and storage of this device. Wolfson tests its package types according to IPC/JEDEC J-STD-020B for Moisture Sensitivity to determine acceptable storage conditions prior to surface mount assembly. POWER UP SEQUENCE • • • • • Switch on power supplies. By default the WM8734 is in Standby Mode, the DAC is digitally muted and the Audio Interface and Outputs are all OFF. Set all required bits in the Power Down register (0Ch) to ‘0’; EXCEPT the OUTPD bit, this should be set to ‘1’ (Default). Set required values in all other registers except 12h (Active). Set the ‘Active’ bit in register 12h. The last write of the sequence should be setting OUTPD to ‘0’ (active) in register 0Ch, enabling the DAC signal path, free of any significant power-up noise. POWER DOWN SEQUENCE • • Set the OUTPD bit to ‘1’ (power down). Remove the WM8734 supplies. w PD Rev 4.1 November 2006 43 WM8734 PACKAGE DIMENSIONS (SSOP) DS: 20 PIN SSOP (7.2 x 5.3 x 1.75 mm) Production Data DM0015.C b 20 e 11 E1 E 1 10 GAUGE PLANE Θ D A A2 A1 -C0.10 C SEATING PLANE c L L1 0.25 Symbols A A1 A2 b c D e E E1 L L1 θ REF: MIN ----0.05 1.65 0.22 0.09 6.90 7.40 5.00 0.55 0 o Dimensions (mm) NOM --------1.75 0.30 ----7.20 0.65 BSC 7.80 5.30 0.75 1.25 REF o 4 JEDEC.95, MO -150 MAX 2.0 ----1.85 0.38 0.25 7.50 8.20 5.60 0.95 8 o NOTES: A.
