This flagship of the i-CON family offers the user four soldering tools for demanding soldering tasks, simultaneously: Flexible soldering and desoldering is provided for by the new, ergonomically designed soldering and desoldering hot air unit i-TOOL AIR S (200 W) with non-contact energy transfer, highly efficient soldering is offered with the i-TOOL, delivering a powerful 150 W, precise desoldering of the smallest SMD components is achieved with the well tested desoldering tweezers of the CHIP TOOL VARIO (80 W), and desoldering of leaded components is performed with the trusted X-TOOL (120 W). Naturally, attaching other Ersa soldering tools to the stations is possible. All functions, including the generation of the air and the vacuum required in the process, are bundled in the supply unit, which is equipped with the easily to operate i-Op facility and its clearly arranged displays. In addition, the station makes available interfaces for the Ersa solder fume extractor unit or the infrared preheating unit, as well as featuring an USB port. With a microSD memory card, the station can be quickly and safely configured, so that it is optimally prepared for all applications in professional electronic manufacturing. The station is well suited for the use in ESD protected zones. i-CON VARIO 2 The i-CON VARIO 2 multichannel soldering and desoldering station offers to the professional user two simultaneously usable soldering tools. In parallel to the new, ergonomically designed hot air soldering unit i-TOOL AIR S (200 W) is it possible to operate another soldering tool such as the 150 W i-Tool, the ideal tool for classical soldering applications, or the new developed desoldering tweezers CHIP TOOL VARIO (80 W). Alternatively to these, other Ersa soldering tools may be connected. The compact, ESD static safe supply unit offers the easy and clearly arranged display, which is in the i-CON family of tools a standard feature. As in the larger i-CON VARIO 4, interfaces for the Ersa solder fume extractor unit or the infrared preheating unit are available, also the method to quickly and safely configure the station with a microSD memory card. Meets the highest standards in professional soldering and desoldering equipment i-TOOL-AIR S CHIP TOOL VARIO i-TOOL Ergonomically and easy to handle, strong in the performance! That is an apt description of the i-TOOL AIR S. The slim and light weight hand piece carries a heating cartridge with 200 W power, and permits fatigue-reduced work on a multitude of SMD components. The hot air volume to be delivered can simply be set at the hand piece; the air volume used can be read off at the display of either the i-CON VARIO 2 or the i-CON VARIO 4. The air volume is metered out precisely for attaching even the most delicate chip resistors. To allow to optimally heat up the components, a number of different nozzle geometries can be used. Whenever the unit is removed from its tray, a motion sensor activates the i-TOOL AIR S, and with its IR sensor mounted in the hand piece, it has an auto on/off function. The desoldering tweezers Chip Tool VARIO distinguishes itself through the high power it provides (2 x 40 W) as well as its small, compact design. On account of this, it is ideally suited for working with delicate SMD components.
