APPLICATION NOTE
Touch-proof, 'hot-pluggable' connectors are required
for ballast supply wiring in the USA and Canada. When
exchanging a ballast:
1) The touch-proof connector is disconnected first
2) The ballast is replaced
3) Power connection is restored by plugging the connection
back together. This speeds ballast replacement while
enhancing safety by protecting the installer from electrical
shock.
Luminaire disconnect 873-902 (2-pole) in disconnected state.
Both plug and socket are touch-proof. Marking details include
circuit identification and strip length indication
873 Series LUMI-NUTS® are approved according to UL2459
and CSA 22.2 for this type of application.
