They  are  iron-­‐plated  making  them  multiple  times  more  durable  than  regular  copper  tips.   They  are  chrome-­‐plated  on  the  outside  and  therefore  are  corrosion  free. The  tip  is  factory  pre-­‐tinned  which  improves  the  performance  of  the  tip. Note:  Long  life  tips  cannot  be  filed  as  this  will  damage  the  tip  structure.
