SiC has superior properties compared to silicon or gallium arsenide, including higher breakdown voltage, higher saturated electron drift velocity, and higher thermal conductivity. SiC MESFETs offer greater efficiency, greater power density, and wider bandwidths compared to Si and GaAs transistors.
