M3406 Rev.V1.3 1.5MHz, 800mA Synchronous Step-Down Converter FEATURES GENERAL DESCRIPTION  High Efficiency: Up to 96%  The M3406 is a constant frequency, current 1.5MHz Constant Frequency Operation  mode step-down converter. 800mA Output Current  integrates a main switch and a synchronous No Schottky Diode Required  rectifier for high efficiency without an 2.0V to 6.0V Input Voltage Range  external Schottky diode. Output Voltage as Low as 0.6V  powering portable equipment that runs from PFM Mode for High Efficiency in a single cell Lithium-Ion (Li+) battery. The Light Load  output voltage can be regulated as low as 100% Duty Cycle in Dropout  0.6V. The M3406 can also run at 100% duty Low Quiescent Current: 20µA  cycle for low dropout operation, extending Slope Compensated Current Mode battery life in portable system. This device Control for Excellent Line and Load offers two operation modes, PWM control Transient Response  and PFM Mode switching control, which Short Circuit Protection  allows a high efficiency over the wider range Thermal Fault Protection  of the load.
