Preliminary Datasheet LP3986 300mA,Ultra-low Noise LDO Regulator General Description Features The LP3986 is designed for portable applications with  Ultra-Low-Noise for RF Application demanding performance and space requirements. The  2.5V- 6V Input Voltage Range LP3986 performance is optimized for battery-powered  Low Dropout : 220mV @ 300mA systems to deliver ultra low noise and low quiescent  Ultra-Fast Response in Line/Load Transient current. Regulator ground current increases only  Current Limiting and Thermal Shutdown slightly in dropout, further prolonging the battery life. The LP3986 also works with low-ESR ceramic Protection capacitors, reducing the amount of board space Applications necessary for power applications, critical in hand-held  PMP/PDA/MP3 players wireless devices. The other features include ultra low  Cellular and Mobile phone dropout voltage, high output accuracy, current limiting  RF Module protection, and high ripple rejection ratio.
