This structure gives rise to a high capacitance per unit volume. The inner electrodes are connected to the two end flexible terminations and finally co vered with a layer of plated tin (NiSn). The terminations are lead-free. A cross section of the structure is shown in Fig.1 and Fig.2. Therefore, it is possible to mount MLCCs on one side of a PCB and other discrete components on the reverse (mixed PCBs). Surface Mount Capacitors are tested for solderability at 245 °C during 2 seconds. The test condition for no leaching is 260°C for 30 seconds.
