      Energenie Pi‐mote IR (Infrared) Control Board The Energenie Pi‐mote IR (Infrared) Control Board board is a simple to install piggy‐back add‐on board that fits on to the row of General Purpose Input Output (GPIO) pins on the R‐Pi board models A, B and B+. It works in combination with software such as LIRC to allow you to receive and send infra‐red signals under control of your Raspberry Pi. You can use it to replace or complement an existing handset to control your TV and audio visual equipment. Energenie's Pi‐mote IR control board allows you to teach the Raspberry Pi any infra red remote control and then send out the commands to control any IR device. This is done through a LIRC programme running on the Pi. This means you can turn your Raspberry Pi in to any infra red remote in your house.
