It offers excellent temperature ratings and is silver in color. Nichrome wire is corrosion resistant and is available in many sizes and alloy variations. This uninsulated wire is nominally composed of 80 percent nickel & 20 percent chromium, and meets ASTM B267 standards for resistance wire. Our nichrome wire has an appreciable temperature rating of 1177°C (2150°F), is corrosion resistant, and resists oxidation even at high temperatures. This resistance wire is suitable for use in heater wire applications (such as toasters) and cutting wire applications (such as foam rubber cutters). Remington Industries offers nichrome wire in a broad range of wire gauges (from 14 to 32 AWG) to meet the specifications you require.
